Benefits : Wealth

Sanlam Life Cover

This benefit only applies to the Reality Plus membership options.

  • Reality Plus members qualify for discounts of up to 30% on risk benefits. The discount will also apply to the cash-back benefit if it was added onto the product. The discount applies to the first R3 000 of the premium of a life cover benefit and the first R1 500 of the premium of any other benefit.
  • The discount percentage is related to the status tier of the individual life insured (not the status tier of the plan holder or payment payer).
  • Sanlam Reality members are eligible for the discount on their risk product premiums if they: 1) take out a new Premier risk product using a debit order as payment mode; or 2) when they increase the total premium of an existing Premier policy paid by debit order, by at least 20% (either by increasing the cover, adding a new life insured or adding/changing their benefit features).
  • The Sanlam Reality discount only applies on benefit payments and not on the plan fee.
  • Stop order payment methods do not qualify for the Sanlam Reality discount.
  • It may take up to 10 working days after status tiers have been changed before the change will reflect on the monthly payments of the affected Premier risk product.
  • No back-dated premium adjustments will be handled.

TaxTim

  • Sanlam Reality members can sign up for any of the three TaxTim packages: Lite, Smart and Ultra. The Business package is not available to Sanlam Reality members.
  • Sanlam Reality members will earn 3 000 tier points for using TaxTim. The points are capped at 3 000 points per year for a Single membership option and 6 000 points per year for a Family membership option. Note: Reality Club members do not earn tier points.
  • Dependants on the Family membership options can also make use of the TaxTim service and earn tier points.
  • Sanlam Reality members who have already signed up for TaxTim, but have not made payment for the tax year in question, can select any applicable Sanlam Reality option for free.
  • Sanlam Reality cannot be held liable for any services provided by TaxTim. TaxTim provides a service directly between the service provider and the customer.

Online Will

This benefit is available to Wealth Bonus Lifestyle for Sanlam Corporate members.

  • Members can get a Sanlam Legacy will drafted online, via the Sanlam Reality website, free of charge.
  • A Sanlam Legacy Booking Agent will contact you after drafting your will online, to make an appointment with a Will Consultant.
  • The Will Consultant will help finalise your online will to ensure it is signed correctly and deemed valid. They will also calculate the potential fees at death and offer the Sanlam Legacy Plan as a solution to cover these fees. This is an optional insurance product with a nominal monthly fee but the will remains free of charge.
  • A free will collection service is made available to you, to get your will into safekeeping.

  • Opt out and object to us sharing your information with anyone else
  • Request a copy of your personal information held by Sanlam Trust
  • Update and/or correct your personal information at any stage
