When can I start using my benefits?
Some of your benefits will be available immediately after you’ve submitted an online application. The rest will become available two business days later – we’ll send you confirmation via email or SMS.
Do I need to have a Sanlam product to apply for Sanlam Reality?
Sanlam Reality is open to anyone.
How do I pay for my membership?
Sanlam Reality will arrange with your bank to collect the debit order payment due on your membership, which will reflect on your statement as either “Total SL-Debit" or “Real Futures (Pty) Ltd”.

Protection of personal information
The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) is an all-inclusive piece of legislation that safeguards the integrity and sensitivity of personal information. The Act states that a data subject has the right to have his, her or its personal information processed in accordance with the conditions for the lawful processing of personal information, which includes the right to:
- Establish whether a responsible party holds personal information of that data subject and to request access to his, her or its personal information
- Request, where necessary, the correction, destruction, or deletion of his, her or its personal information
- Object, on reasonable grounds relating to his, her or its particular situation, to the processing of his, her or its personal information
- Object to the processing of personal information for purposes of direct marketing

Debit order terms and conditions
By completing this application, you confirm that Sanlam Reality is authorised to debit your bank account for the Sanlam Reality membership fee. Sanlam Reality reserves the right to combine your membership fee with an existing monthly debit order for a member of the Sanlam group if it is possible and the payments are made from the same bank account.
Membership fees are as follows:
- Reality Plus Single membership: R275 p/m (incl. VAT)
- Reality Core Single membership: R125 p/m (incl. VAT)
As a Sanlam Reality member, your benefits are subsidised by Sanlam Reality.
You understand and accept that Sanlam Reality processes authorised withdrawals through the ACB Magnetic Tape
Service/Debit Order/Multi-Data system. You agree to pay any bank charges related to using this system.
You understand that your bank statement or an accompanying voucher will show information about each debit. The
amount debited will appear on your bank statement as either “Total SL-Debit” or “Real Futures (Pty) Ltd”.
You understand that your Sanlam Reality membership fees will be deducted from your bank account on the date you
initially chose and every month after that. If this date falls on a Sunday or public holiday, Sanlam Reality
will debit your account on the next business day.
If you cancel or change your monthly debit order that was combined with the Sanlam Reality debit order, Sanlam
Reality has the right to combine the amounts due if possible. If it is not possible to do this, separate
deductions will be made through another monthly debit order.
You can cancel the agreement by giving Sanlam Reality 30 (thirty) days’ notice in writing. You will not receive
a refund if any amount owed to Sanlam Reality was debited while your membership was active.
If your banking details change, you must notify Sanlam Reality in writing.

Benefits
Once you’ve joined Sanlam Reality, you can use most of your benefits right away. The benefits you cannot use immediately include:

Login options
You have two options for logging onto the Sanlam Reality website (www.sanlamreality.co.za)
- The basic login option uses either your membership number or ID number and gives you limited access to most benefits and functionality.
- The preferred login is more secure and gives you access to all benefits and functionality. To use this option, register for Sanlam Secure Services and create a username and password – you will use these login details on Sanlam Reality. Click here to register.
Safety and security
When you call the Sanlam Reality Call Centre at 0860 732 548/9, you might be asked for certain information, such as your Sanlam Reality membership number. We will never ask you for your Sanlam Secure Services/Sanlam Reality preferred login username. Do not share your username and password with anyone. If you think your user username and password have been lost, stolen, or compromised, please change both on Sanlam Secure Services.
Risk and indemnity
You understand and accept that using any of the benefits offered is at your own risk. Real Futures and members of the Sanlam Group, their respective officers, employees, and agents cannot be held liable for any claims related to property loss or damage, injuries, or death. You agree and accept that if you have any claim, it should be made with the benefit partner involved.
Cancellations
When you cancel your Sanlam Reality membership, unless specifically mentioned otherwise, you will no longer have access to any of the benefits.
Programme communication
Sanlam Reality uses your contact details provided to communicate with you – it is your responsibility to make sure this information is correct. Sanlam Reality is not liable for any loss you may suffer if your contact details are incorrect. To update your contact details, email info@sanlamreality.co.za or call 0860 732 548/9.
