Which membership options qualify?
This benefit applies to all Sanlam Reality members, including Reality Plus, Reality Core and Reality Club.
What is TaxTim?
TaxTim is an online service that helps South Africans complete and submit their income tax returns. TaxTim uses simple instructions to guide you through the completion of a tax return. It is fully integrated with SARS eFiling, so you can submit your tax return directly to SARS.
How do I earn tier points for TaxTim?
You will earn 3 000 tier points for using the service.
Does TaxTim provide a secure service?
TaxTim will keep your information secure at all times through 256-bit SSL security. Typically, 256-bit encryption is used for data in transit, or data travelling over a network or Internet connection. However, it is also implemented for sensitive and important data such as financial, military or government-owned data.
How do I know that TaxTim will provide accurate and professional assistance?
TaxTim is kept up to date by certified tax practitioners, who provide accurate information and aim to ensure members earn a maximum tax refund when applicable.
What happens if I’m an existing TaxTim user but want to make use of the free Sanlam Reality service?
If you have not yet made payment to TaxTim for the tax period selected, you can select the applicable Sanlam Reality free option.
Can my family also use the TaxTim service?
Any family members signed up to Sanlam Reality on a Family membership option can use TaxTim. They will also earn points for using TaxTim, but note that the annual tier points for TaxTim are capped at 3 000 per Single membership option and 6 000 per Family membership option.
How do I sign up for TaxTim and do I have to pay anything?
