Sanlam Virtual Doctor
Which membership options qualify?
This benefit is exclusive to Wealth Bonus Lifestyle for Sanlam Corporate members.
What is Virtual Doctor?
As a SUS member you know have free access to a General Practitioner or a nurse via the Sanlam Member Portal or Sanlam My Retirement App. This means you can book a consultation from anywhere with a nurse or doctor whenever you need this service! Even if you are not a member of a medical aid.
What can I see the Virtual Doctor for?
You can use the Virtual Doctor facility to speak to a healthcare professional when you are sick or have questions around an existing condition.
When are the doctors and nurses available?
Doctors and nurses are available during the following hours:
Monday – Friday - 08:00 - 18:00
Saturdays - 08:00 - 13:00
Sundays and Public holidays - No service
How do I book a consultation?
Go to www.sanlamreality.co.za/benefit/sanlam-virtual-doctor/ and follow the detailed step-by-step process.
Do I need to have medical aid cover for the virtual consultations?
No medical aid is required to access the Virtual Doctor consultations.
JustGym
How do I know what discount I will get on my monthly fees?
When you first join JustGym through Sanlam Reality, you will receive your discount at the highest level according to your membership option from the first month. For example, if you are a Reality Plus member with an active qualifying Sanlam product, your starting discount will be 80%. After three months, your discount will be set according to the average number of times you visit the gym. So if your total visits over that three-month period were 15, your monthly average will be five, and the discount applicable to five monthly gym visits, as per your membership option, will apply.

Members with any of the below products qualify for the maximum gym discount.
- Sanlam Individual Life Segment Solutions (SILSS)
- Glacier Investments
- Sanlam Collective Investments (SCI) South Africa
- Sanlam Trust – Wills & Trust
- Santam Personal Lines
- Sanlam SKY
- Sanlam Personal Loans (SPL)
- Sanlam Corporate
- Sanlam Indie
I don’t have any qualifying Sanlam products. Can I still get discounts on my monthly gym fees?
The discounted model on our benefit page, here, applies to members with an active qualifying Sanlam product. Reality members with no active qualifying Sanlam product will receive a lower gym discount than Reality members with a qualifying Sanlam product.
How much is my discount if I do not have any qualifying Sanlam products?
Reality Plus and Core members without any qualifying Sanlam products will get a 40% discount on their first three months. Thereafter, they will receive a 20% discount until the end of their contract. Reality Club, Wealth Bonus Lifestyle and Wealth Bonus Lifestyle for Sanlam Corporate members without any qualifying Sanlam products will get a fixed 20% discount. What other fees, over and above the monthly gym fee, are payable when joining JustGym?
Reality Club, Core, Plus, Wealth Bonus Lifestyle and Wealth Bonus Lifestyle for Sanlam Corporate members members will pay a once-off activation fee of R250 and a R150 tag fee. The tag allows you access to the gym.
What happens if I travel abroad or cannot gym because of illness?
Arrangements and rules around travel and illness differ from gym to gym. Contact your gym for queries on their travel policy.
How does Sanlam Reality know how many times I’ve visited the gym?
JustGym will record your gym visits, and notify Sanlam Reality of the monthly total. However, it is your responsibility to ensure your gym records your visits accurately each time you visit the gym. If you have any attendance disputes, you need to contact your gym directly to resolve the dispute.
After joining, how long will it take for my gym membership to be active?
You should have immediate access to train, but this depends on the gym you join. Contact your gym to query immediate access.
Do I need to go to the gym a certain number of times in a year to continue receiving the JustGym discount?
Yes, you need to go to the gym 36 times in a 12-month rolling period.
Can I go to the gym more than once a day?
Yes, you can gym more than once a day, but only one gym visit per day will be recorded towards your monthly gym visit total.
Can my family members join JustGym on the Sanlam Reality deal?
Yes, registered members on the Family membership options may take out their own membership at JustGym.
How do I join JustGym?
Fill out the JustGym form on their website and a call centre agent will call you to set up an appointment.
