Do I have to download the App to access my benefits

No, you don’t need to download the App in order to access all of your benefits, but the App is designed to give you access to key benefits on the go! In addition, there are some benefits that are exclusive to the App (see below). The Sanlam Reality App gives you access to the following benefits:

  • Nu Metro
  • Uber
  • Bidvest Premier Lounge
  • Personal Assistant
  • Independent Gyms & Studios

If you’re a Sanlam Reality member, you can log into the App using your South African ID number or your Sanlam Reality membership number.

The Sanlam Reality App is free to download and use as a Sanlam Reality member.

How do I download the App?

Go to your app store (iStore or Google Play Store) on your device. Search for ‘Sanlam Reality’ and download the Sanlam Reality App for free.

Which devices are able to download the App, and what software do I need to download the App?

    • Android: from 5.1-8
    • iOS: from 11.0 to the latest release.

I’ve deleted my App/changed phones – what happens to my information and data in the App?

Your App data will be automatically restored when you download the App to your new device.

My App isn’t working – help!

Can dependants on my Sanlam Reality membership use the App?

Yes, they can. Members and their dependants can log in with their membership numbers or their ID numbers, which means your dependants can access benefits within your Family membership option from the App on their own devices.

I’ve paid for a service or ticket through my App but haven’t received my booking codes – who do I contact?

Please contact our call centre on 0860 732 548/9 and they will assist you further.

The App isn’t logging my gym visits – what do I do?

Please contact the call centre on 0860 732 548/9 so that they can investigate the issue. In the meantime, please ask your gym or studio to manually log your visits.

Which benefits are exclusive to the App?

You can only access the Independent Gyms & Studios benefit in-App, and you can only activate your Uber benefit (once-off) in-App.

I’ve lost benefit vouchers/booking codes/tickets from my App’s wallet – how do I restore them?

Why do I have access to complimentary Wealth Bonus Lifestyle benefits?

You have access to Wealth Bonus Lifestyle benefits because you own a participating product with the Sanlam Group which qualifies you for these benefits. You may have one or more of the following Wealth Bonus products. Some of the products might also include a monetary Wealth Bonus benefit.

How soon can I start using my benefits after I’ve taken out a new Wealth Bonus qualifying policy?

As soon as you have been issued with your policy and Sanlam receives your first premium, we will register you for Wealth Bonus Lifestyle benefits. You will receive a welcome email or SMS with your membership number and an explanation of all your benefits, in the month following the payment of your first premium.

Should you decide to take out a Sanlam funeral policy, your registration will take place at the end of the month in which you have purchased the policy. You will therefore be able use your Wealth Bonus Lifestyle benefits at the beginning of the month following the purchase of your first funeral policy with Sanlam. To access these benefits, login with your ID or registration number on www.sanlamreality.co.za/wealth-bonus-lifestyle-benefits.

In your welcome communication you will receive a membership number that you can use for all the Sanlam Reality benefits. You don’t have to wait until you’ve received your Wealth Bonus Lifestyle benefits welcome book and membership number before you start using your benefits.

Do I have to pay for my Wealth Bonus Lifestyle benefits?

Wealth Bonus Lifestyle benefits are offered to you at no additional cost. You do not need to pay to use the discounted benefits. How do I book my Intercape Bus ticket?

You can book your Intercape Bus ticket and access your benefit in the following ways:

Option 1:

  • An agent will assist you with your discounted booking.
  • Receive your booking via email and your booking reference via sms.

Option 2:

  • Log into sanlamreality.co.za
  • Click on the Intercape Bus benefit under the Travel benefits and follow the easy step-by-step process to book the trip.
  • Enter your ID or membership number on the Intercape Bus website
  • Select your trip and pay online
  • Receive your booking via email and your booking reference via sms

Family options

How do I add my dependants on the Family membership options?

When you join you must complete their details in your application form. Alternatively, you can call the Sanlam Reality Call Centre on 0860 732 548/9 and an agent will assist you in adding them.

Can registered dependants on the Family membership options use all the benefits?

Yes, registered dependants may use all the benefits as per your membership option. Please note: certain benefits will have their own rules pertaining to age restrictions. At Sanlam Reality, we recommend that only dependants over the age of 18 make benefit bookings on their own. Please consult the T&Cs for more information.

When will I get my welcome pack?

You will receive your welcome pack between two and four weeks after registration (dependent on the postal system).

How soon can I start using my benefits after I’ve joined the programme?

As soon as you have been issued with a membership number, which you will receive via SMS, you can start using all the Sanlam Reality benefits applicable to your membership option. You don’t have to wait until you’ve received your welcome book and membership card in the post before you start using your benefits.
